At prices that start at just £250, our service visits are among the most competitive around. The only additional cost is a mileage charge of 0.45p a mile from the regional TLM Laser base closest to your school. Our component prices are also extremely price conscious. For instance, a replacement 2” focal optic will cost just £175.00, a 1” gold plated turning mirror £145, we also offer a range of other spare parts and laser consumables for sale individually.

If you have a PM(Preventive Maintenance) contract with us then part of your plan may include the cost of any parts for a visit. If it is an ad-hoc visit or your PM contract does not include cost of parts, then we will make you aware of any parts needed and potential additional costs.

Safety first

We operate within the strictest safety and legal guidelines. Our services are covered by full public, product and employers’ liability insurance. We have fixed corporate policies with regard to quality, the environment and safety – copies available on request. In addition, prior to our engineer visiting your school, we will issue a risk assessment and a method statement. Up to 100 items checked

On the day of your laser service, our engineer will arrive punctually and carry out a point by point check of up to 100 items covering everything from Air pipes and housing to Z-axis pulleys, adjusting settings where necessary. The TLM engineer will also:

Talk to your laser users to help identify problems
Run pre- and post- service tests to compare before and after performance
Clean the machine thoroughly to remove all debris and residue
Make adjustments where necessary or possible
Replace components if available – given authorisation

Looking after your DT Department lasers is just one aspect of TLM Laser’s service. During a visit, our engineers can also service any extractor units, resolve problem files and provide operator training. We are partnered with ULS(Universal Laser Systems) and are able to offer a CO2 Laser Refill Service for products from their range but will often not be able to provide this for other manufacturer machines.
